John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

What a dark place the world is without Christ. What a dark and difficult life one must lead without His love, care, and compassion. To follow Christ is not easy. There is today and always has been a cost for following Him. However, the benefit of following Christ is that you do not have to live in darkness…you can have the light of life burning within you and though your body will die, you will not.
