About hearing God say “I love you” (Part 2 of 5)…

Acts 7:30 "After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai . 31 When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to look more closely, he heard the Lord's voice: 32 `I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.' Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look. 33 "Then the Lord said to him, `Take off your sandals; the place where you are standing is holy ground. 34 I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt . I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free.

Everyone can have the experience of hearing God say “I love you.” Everyone can hear God say “I love you” if only they will open their heart to God and listen. To hear God, we must do both…we must open our heart, and we must listen. When we want to go our own way in life and we close off our heart to Him, we say to God we do not want to listen to Him. When we want to go our own way in life, we say to God we do not want to walk with Him or talk with Him. When we stop listening to God and we do not open our heart up to God's voice within us, we are doomed to walk through life without ever hearing Him tell us He loves us. When we walk through life and we stop listening to God because we never open our heart up to Him, we end up in defeat with no hope. However, when we start listening to God we hear Him tell us He loves us and we have a hope for the future. When we start listening to God tell us He loves us, we begin to understand Christ came to set us free.
