About His presence… (Part 4 of 5)

Psalm 31:21 Praise be to the Lord, for he showed his wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city. 22 In my alarm I said, "I am cut off from your sight!" Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help. (NIV)

He has always been with you. He was with you telling you to take action rather than shrinking back when you were afraid and anxious. He has always been beside you telling you to ask questions rather than keep silent. He has always been beside you, asking you to give beauty rather than ugliness. When you were in deep trouble and thinking of no one but yourself, He asked you to give blessings and be a blessing rather than give curses and be a curse. When you tasted poverty, He was beside you and asked you to share His Bread of Life rather than trying to hoard everything and keep everything all to yourself. When you were sick and illness raged through your body, He was with you pouring His healing love into every cell of your frame. When it seemed you were alone and you would never have anyone in your life to love, He was beside you telling you to care about others rather than just caring about yourself. In all the days of your past He has been with you. In all the days of your future He will call you to be His child.
