We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express (NIV) When Jesus stands with you every minute of every day, He wants you to surrender to Him and let Him your heart, soul, mind, and life. Jesus is faithful and will never let go of you. Your job in your relationship with Him is to never let go of Him. Jesus knows everything about you and He knows your every want, your every need, your every hurt, and your every thought. Jesus has a grasp upon your life. When you point your will in the same direction as His will, He puts all of your needs at the top of His priorities because He is your personal God. Even when you have needs that are destructive to you, to others, and to your relationship with Him, Christ still holds these needs in His hands. By holding you and your needs in His hands, He tries to influence you to shape those needs, mold them, and change them so these needs turn out for your good rather than for your ill. It is a profound thought, but Jesus never lets go of you. Even when you cannot find Him, even when you are certain you are lost, Jesus is still in touch with you. For in your walk with Christ, it is not Christ that gets lost, it is you who cannot find your way to Him. Christ is with you. If you ever think no one cares about you it is important to remember one thing about Jesus. No person on earth can have the concern, compassion, and love for you that Jesus has in His heart. |
