Previous Daily Devotional About how evil comes after us… Rev. 20:2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. (NIV) There is evil in the world and evil comes after you. Evil comes after your body, after your heart, after your mind, after your soul, after your family, after your co-workers, and after every person on earth. Evil finds your weakness. Evil then exploits your weakness. All the groups and support group programs in church or out of church will not stop evil from coming after you. When you die, evil will have come after you and evil will have defeated you on this earthly plain. However, and this is the most important however ever written, there is more to the story of your life than what people see. There is more to your life than what you see in your job, in your relationships, in your family, in your mission, or in what you think you accomplish every day. When you die, it may appear evil has won, but when your soul, the all of you, the very substance of you can sail to Christ’s waiting arms to celebrate the victory. Although evil may come after you on the earth, evil is defeated and totally vanquished as you accept Christ as your Lord and savior. When Christ died on the cross He paid a price to buy you into Heaven. When Christ died on the cross, He gave you a chance to be washed clean from the dirt of evil on you and in you. When Christ died on the cross, He gave you a chance to turn away from the evil coming after you and He gave you a way to turn your certain defeat into an eternal victory of victories.
