About how God gives you His peace…

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. (NIV)

When God gives you peace during the storms of your life, God is making an investment in you. Since you are not remote controlled by God, and since you have a free will to turn toward Him or turn away from Him, God leaves it up to you to determine whether His peace within you will be invested by you for His glory. When you open your heart and soul to receive His peace, then His peace can flow into you. What happens next, what happens after you rest in His peaceful love and compassion, then determines whether God's investment in you produces anything for Him. One of the primary reasons God gives you peace is so you can be a peacemaker on earth. One of the primary reasons God gives you peace is so you can pass on what He gives you. To receive the peace of God and not give away His peace is only a partial fulfillment of God's will for your life. When you give away the peace God gives you, what you receive back is a multiplication of the peace you gave away. Each of us is charged with giving away what God gives us with no excuses for our not doing His will in being a giving person. When you give His peace, you receive His peace. To receive more of His peace, give more of His peace away.
