About
how God knows you…
Matthew
1:20
…and said, “Joseph son of David” (NIV)
God was personally involved in the life of Mary and
Joseph. In the same way, perhaps not as dramatically, God is also personally
involved in your life. It is remarkable and stunning how much God walks with us
and how much He is with us every second. However, we sometimes seem to not know
anything about Him or about His personal interactions with us. We know the
powers of darkness, evil, deceit, and temptation work overtime to separate us
from Christ. What we must continually remind ourselves about is the desire of
God to be our personal God, our personal friend, and our personal guide
throughout our life. God does not just know us like other people know us. God
knows everything about us, even things we do not know about our life or
ourselves. What is striking is that even when God knows the very worst things
about us, He still loves us, forgives us, and seeks to be our friend. Even when
God knows the very worst things about us, He still calls us to come to His
manger, kneel down, and look into the little eyes of His precious Son. We do not
often think enough about how magnificent God is. We do not often think enough
about how God calls every mugger, thief, murderer, terrorist, liar, cheat, and
scoundrel to the side of His precious Son laying in the hay. For the truth is
that all of us, every human being, no matter how reverent or irreverent, is
called by God to kneel and worship His only child. |
