Previous Daily Devotional About
how God wants to change your mind… Ephesians
4:17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer
live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. (NIV) How
you think is really, really important. How you process information is really,
really important. The information you take in and what you do with the
information can either save your life or take your life. There
might be a bear in the room you are in or there might be a person in a bear suit
in the room you are in. Knowing the actual facts could save or take your life. Some people consider sinful behavior as nothing more than a playful joke, especially if the adults in their world are the people exhibiting the sinful behavior. How you perceive or take in and process sinful behavior can save or take your life. If you perceive sinful behavior as nothing more than a playful joke, then the sinful behavior leading to AIDS, addiction, or any kind of crumbling of life's substance will mean nothing to you. However, God wants more from your mind. God wants you to be able to face facts squarely and realistically. God wants you to see sin for the threat sin always has been and always is. God wants to change your mind to the mind of someone who sees everything that happens in the world through the eyeglasses made by God…eyeglasses to help you see the mortal danger of sinful behavior.
