(NIV) True faithfulness means you never let go of your part of an agreement even if the other person lets go of their part. With Jesus, you have the most faithful of friends because no matter what you do, even if you walk away from Him, He will still be there for you. Jesus will always keep His end of the friendship with you. To realize fully the power of Jesus as your friend, it is required you never let go of Him, or that if you make a mistake and lose Him, that you seek Him out. For if you seek Jesus out you will find He is not far away. You will find He is with you, inside of you, living in your heart this very minute. To have Christ alive and living in your heart requires you exercise your will power and exercise your self-discipline. For in this world, the darkness wants you to believe Jesus is gone and He will never come back. In this world, the darkness wants you to believe Jesus left you alone and lonely and does not care about you or care about your life. In this life, the darkness feeds you lies. However, your faithful friend Jesus speaks to you amongst the lies of the darkness. Christ tells you over and over He is with you and will never leave you or forsake you. In your walk with Him each day, what is it you tell Him over and over? |
