Job 29:14 I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe and my turban. 15 I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. 16 I was a father to the needy; I took up the case of the stranger. 17 I broke the fangs of the wicked and snatched the victims from their teeth. (NIV)

Christ spoke of laborers in the field. Each of us is a laborer or servant of Christ. Living right helps God's work. For reasons we do not always understand, God has not taken away the sin plague upon us. While we wait on Christ to come back to us, we are all given the job and duty to live right, be right, and do right in the eyes of God. God's will and God's desire is for you to live right. When you live right and live according to God's commandments, then all of God's work, influence, and power are more fully realized on earth. When we sin, we hurt the work of God. When we sin we make others doubt God exists. The power of God requires His servants or laborers in the field to live a righteous life. The power of God on earth is diminished when people sin. Each of us has been given the ability to shine the light of God out to others for God's glory. One of God's highest priorities is for us to live the right kind of life so God's glory and love shine out from our life.
