About how none of us is really better than another person…

Romans 3:23 …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (NIV)

None of us is higher than any other person on earth. In the same way, none of us is lower than any other person on earth. We are all equal. We are all equal in our sin before God. What God wants from us is for us to regard all other persons as equals who are able to participate in His grace through the redemption possible by accepting Christ as Lord. When you walk down the street, everyone you pass by is just like you. Not one of the people you have ever known or ever will know is better than you are. Not one of the people you have ever known or ever will know is beneath you in any kind of way. We are all equally sinners. We are all equally fallen and broken. We are all hopelessly lost and doomed to the eternal outer darkness. However, we need not be doomed because we can grasp the nail-scarred saving hand of our Savior. We should never feel we are better than anyone else. We should never feel anyone else is better than we are. Everyone in our life should be treated as our true brother or sister. For in God's eyes, although we are all equally fallen and corrupt, we are all equally savable, equally redeemable, and equally loved by God beyond our ability to say or comprehend.
