About how soon is soon…

Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen. (NIV)

Patience is a virtue we all need to cultivate. Some of us are not patient people. It has been two thousand years since Jesus walked the earth. For that reason, for the reason it has been so long since Jesus walked the earth, some people do not believe He will return again. However, God is timeless. God does not have a watch or a calendar. For God, soon can be an instant. For God, soon can be the next second, the next day, or the next week. Soon could be tomorrow. When Jesus returns is not as important as the fact He said it and we believe it. The importance of Jesus coming back again rests in the hope we carry in our heart. Because we believe Him, we have a hope for today, tomorrow, and forever. Because we believe Him, we can keep going in spite of many trials and adversities. Because we believe Him, we can all look up even in our darkest hour.
