About how we are beautiful to Christ…

Romans 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. (NIV)

We are all wretched in the law of the world but we are beautiful to Christ. Our true power and potential for beauty is never realized because of our sin, yet Christ still sees our beauty. Our true power and potential for greatness is never realized in our sin yet Christ still sees our greatness. Our true power and potential to love is never realized because of our sin yet Christ still sees our potential to love. In Christ, all things are made beautifully new within us when we accept Him into our life and heart. Our realization about how much He loves us and how beautiful we are to Him produces within our heart a spirit of thanksgiving…a spirit of thanksgiving so strong our gratitude carries us over the barriers of our life. Because we realize we are beautiful to Christ, our trials and adversities diminish into bearable moments. By choice, because we have found a new inner beauty in Christ's eyes, we put on the chains of slavery to Christ. By choice, because we have found a new inner beauty in Christ's eyes, we turn away from the chains of our sin. Obviously, we can choose to sin. However, we can also choose to live in Christ's beautiful righteousness. What will you choose today?
