Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel (NIV) It is unlikely the future of humanity will be different than humanity’s past. Our sin plagues the human race and millions of persons refuse to repent and live a holy and godly life. Because so many persons refuse to live a holy and godly life, we have real and legitimate reasons to feel fear, doubt, and insecurity about the future. At the same time, although we might see the future as a time of trouble and fearful events, we can all live in God’s arms. In God’s arms, we can find courage, faith, hope, and security no matter what happens in the world around us. In His arms, although the world may crumble around us we can look up to see His world above where there is no reason to fear, no reason to doubt, and no reason to feel insecure. For those of us who have accepted Christ, our future is secure. In Christ’s arms, our future is rests upon the Rock of Ages no storm in life can take away, no waves can ever wash away, no person can ever take away, and no power can ever change.
