Previous Christmas Devotional About humility at His manger… Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and
gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (NIV) When we come near the little Christ-child resting in His manger, we cannot truly have any pride or ego. When we reach down and touch His little hand, all our pride is erased in His love and in His touch. Certainly, the darkness and evil of the world want us to be full of selfish pride and ego, but when you are willing to touch Him and be touched by Him, ego disappears. The love of Christ is humbling. The love of Christ makes all the problems and issues of life diminish in importance. What you think you want and need from others and the world are changed in His touch. When you are humble before Him you are then one of His children and He will watch over you and take care of you. Christ is just as real and alive this minute as He was two thousand years ago on the day of His birth. This very hour, He is with you, calling you, encouraging you, inspiring you, loving you, and shielding your heart and life. In the light of His glory and in the light of His manger you can find His peace and love overflows in unlimited measure. Reach out and touch Him now to find His power.
