Previous Daily Devotional About if you knew how much God loves you (Part 3 Of 5)… Mark 6:49 but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, 50 because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." (NIV) If you knew how much God loves you, you would be able to find courage in the face of fear, doubt, and anxiety. We have fear, doubt, and anxiety in the world because we do not know who we are, we do not know where we are headed, and we do not know how to be who Christ wants us to be. As much as we want to believe our life is ours, our life is never really ours. As much as we want to possess our life, we can never really possess our life. We can never possess our life because we are God's child and He is our true maker, Creator, and Father. To make our own fears, doubts, and anxieties go away, we must come to Christ and be fully His. When we come to Christ and we are fully His, He will always be our shelter in the storm. Christ is our cleft in the rock wherein we may find security and comfort. Victory over your fears, doubts, and anxieties is possible when you stand next to Christ.
