Previous Daily Devotional About the incredible works of God… Acts26:8 Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead? (NIV) We do an excellent job of putting limitations on God because of our lack of vision. As shortsighted as we can be about God, we must look and seek with whatever vision we have for the ultimate power in the universe every day we are alive. When we seek and find the ultimate power in the universe, we find the power that created all that is and then we understand the ultimate power is God. When we find the ultimate power of the universe that is God, we come to understand He always does what He wills to do. For example, it may be that God will roll back the sky like a scroll and Jesus will appear tomorrow. If He does roll back the sky tomorrow, doing this will only be because He wills this act to be done. When we find the ultimate power of the universe, we will see Him as the Creator of everything that is incredible. What we do not appreciate is that God is the creator of all that exists, whether what exists is seen or unseen. God did not just create the ants that live in the sand, or the trees that have leaves so green, or the mountains with snow capped peaks, but God is the creator of all the rest of the seen and unseen. What we do not appreciate is that God created this universe and all the other universes in all the dimensions and realities that exist now. He also created all that ever existed in the past, and all that will ever exist in the future. We have arguments about evolution, but why we do not have arguments about the Creator of all that exists? We do not have arguments about the Creator of all that exists because we know who created all that exists. And the Creator of all this exists, is God. Perhaps we cannot take in the wonder of all that exists because we do not have the mind or heart to take it all in, but we can try and try we must. For the opposite of trying to take in all that exists and singing the praises of the Creator, of God, of Christ Jesus, and of the Holy Spirit is shrugging our shoulders, not caring, not loving, not forgiving, and living only for ourselves. |
