About inner peace…
2 Thessalonians 1:2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ. (NIV)
Inner peace is not just the absence of inner war and conflict. Inner peace is
the presence of God's love, care, kindness, and compassion within your heart.
So many people do not have inner peace. They try to find inner peace in
drugs, alcohol, relationships, career, hobbies, and numerous endeavors only to
come up empty and lost in their search. Inner peace is not found in some kind of
selfish endeavor. You find inner peace by surrendering up and giving up to God
all that you have and all that you are. God loves you and cares for you. God
gave up the life of His only son so you could have eternal life. What seems
important in the world that causes so much conflict, war, chaos, and turmoil is
not really important. The most important thing in life is having inner peace
with God. When we have inner peace with God, whatever uncertainties we have or
whatever doubts and questions we have are all put to rest. When we have inner
peace with God we may have questions but the questions are of little real
importance. When we have inner peace with God we have answers instead of
questions. We can be gripped and shredded apart with worry and anxiety. But
there is an answer to our worries and anxieties. The answer to our worries and
anxieties is that we are loved. The answer to our worries and anxieties is that
we are loved immensely by God beyond our ability to fully comprehend or fully
express.
