Jesus coming back… Romans As we wait eagerly for Jesus to return, we can speculate about what will happen when He arrives. As we groan in our present pain and suffering, we can look forward to getting new bodies when He comes back, for He will give us new bodies. We can look forward to His redeeming our old body because someway, somehow, in ways still mysterious, we will redeem or exchange our frail and feeble present body for a new body…a custom-made body made by Jesus Himself just for us. We will get rid of our bad eyes, our bad ears, our bad legs, our bad arms, and all our aches and pains. Won’t it be great? Won’t it be wonderful? Jesus is coming again. Jesus is coming back and He is coming back to give us new bodies. This idea of Jesus coming back is so sweet and so wonderful when we think of it for very long we are lifted up and find we are even now becoming nearer and nearer to Him. Too often, we forget He may just come back today or perhaps tomorrow. Too often, we think He has gone away and we won’t see Him again. The idea of His returning has such wonders associated with it. His returning means there is no such thing as good-bye. With Jesus, His absence is only a “See you again. See you later.” kind of thing. Although Jesus is gone from our visual sight, He’s not permanently gone. With Jesus, there are no permanent good-byes because Jesus only went away for a little while. He’s coming back. O Happy Day! O Happy Day! He is coming back! O Happy Day!
