Previous Daily Devotional About learning to love… John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (NIV) Learning to love is sometimes the hardest lesson to learn. We are not always born into an environment where we are taught to love. Some persons never see love during their lifetime. Persons are born, live, and die in this world, having never seen love. Other persons have been shown love but for many reasons they do not see love. Because so many persons are born into the world and never see love…this is why Christ is so important to the world and so important to you. When you or anyone else in the world sees Christ, you or anyone else in the world can say "In Christ, I see love." All of us are imperfect and because we are imperfect we do not often know how to love or know about love. We do not experience love enough. Because we are all deficient, we can look to Christ and see love and know love. In Christ, we have someone who will love us in a total way, unconditionally, and a person who made the supreme sacrifice for us so we can live in heaven forever. Indeed, in Christ, we see love. |
