About letting God be displayed John 9:1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. (NIV) As humans, we are often blind to many circumstances and events. We are often blind to the reasons God works in the way He does. We are often blind to how God works in our lives. Trouble in our life may come to us because Satan attacks us, but God is ever ready to turn around every trouble to show His love, care, and compassion. When bad things happen to us because we make mistakes and pay the penalty, paying the penalty, even a painful penalty, can be a time to let God be displayed in our life. When bad things happen to us for reasons we do not understand, these events can be a time when we can show others how much we love God. Each of us has the power to advance our life forward. God does not will that we should give up our relationship with Him. God does not will that we disregard His wisdom. Satan's purpose in bringing trouble into your life is to take you down. God's purpose in your life is to use trouble to build you and others up. The purpose or will of God is in opposition to the purpose or will of Satan. The purpose of Satan in causing a person to be born blind is to hurt and destroy. The purpose of God in this situation is to take what Satan has done and show others that God still is a God of love. When we are attacked by Satan, God's purpose and will is that we counterattack and do so with God's love, kindness, caring, and compassion. You do not have to understand how God works to do His work and will in times of trouble. You do not need to possess the wisdom of the ages to do what God places upon your heart to do. You do not need great revelations from God to love truly and unconditionally. You do need to get tough spiritually by becoming His humble child. |
