Previous Daily Devotional About living a life of hope… Colossians 1:3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel 6 that has come to you. (NIV) Love calls you to live a life of hope. Love calls you to live in hope, because to live in hopelessness is not the way of God. The way of God is to see forever, because God is forever. The way of God is to look up and see the infinite, because He is infinite. At times when things in life look bleak with no hope, no answer, or no way to a better tomorrow, these times are when God is needed most. As horrible as death on the Cross was for Christ, His death was not the end. Our death, if we accept Christ into our heart and life, is not the end, but the beginning. Hope reigns in a person's life when he or she sees with an x-ray vision into the future full of promise. For every person on earth, the future is full of promise even when the present is shrouded in darkness and disaster.
