Previous Daily Devotional About living by faith with failing vision… 2 Corinthians 5:7 We live by faith, not by sight. (NIV) Many of us have to wear eyeglasses. We have to wear eyeglasses because our vision is faulty or failing. In the Christian life, because we cannot see Christ or the Father, we have to live by faith. We have to trust in a Supreme Being we cannot see with our eyes, hear with our ears, our touch with our hands. As Christians, we cannot put on a pair of eyeglasses to see Christ. However, we have spiritual eyes. When we use our spiritual eyes we see Christ walking with us every hour. Using our spiritual eyes we can see Christ encouraging us, supporting us, and pulling us forward when we think we cannot go on. Our earthly vision may fail, but our spiritual eyes tell us the truth about our Lord who died to set us free. What if we have blind spiritual eyes? What if we cannot see God or know Him in any personal way because the evil one has come and blinded us? Even if we are blinded by the evil one, God is still alive. Even if we have blind spiritual eyes, we can walk in Christ's hope for a heavenly home.
