4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (NIV) It is the power of God in your heart that enables you to be humble. In Christ’s humility, you never shrug your shoulders and walk away from another person as if you do not care. In Christ’s humility, you are able to love another person even when the other person does not love you. In Christ’s humility, you are able to help others who need help but who do not care about you. In Christ’s humility, you give to God and serve God without ever thinking about receiving any kind of earthly reward. In Christ’s humility, you are always willing to forgive and always do forgive others because you are more directed toward giving than receiving. In Christ’s humility, whatever problems and issues you face each day are considered minor in comparison to the power and promise Christ bestows upon you. In Christ’s humility, you always have the ability to be more and do more than you ever thought possible because His love and power are ever-flowing within you.
