living with eyes for God… Ephesians
1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that
you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, 19
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (NIV) You can see God working everywhere. Of course, the satanic powers of the world do not want you to see God anywhere at any time. The satanic powers of the world only want you to see evil, darkness, pain, and suffering. But even in the worst places on earth, places like the slums and ghettos, the crack houses, the war zones, even in torture chambers…you can see God. When you are in dark places you may not be able to see God working. In dark places you may not see God coming alive. In dark places you may not see God come out in some kind of religious practice. But in dark places you can still look inside your heart to see Him, experience Him, and fully know Him. For if you and God are going to win the spiritual war in your life, you have to look for Him and try to see Him everywhere, no matter how dark the time, place, or circumstance. When you are in a place where you cannot see God, then you cannot see God because you have been blinded by Satan. You have been blinded by Satan on purpose and with intent. When you are in a dark place where you cannot see God you must look for God by fighting back with love, by fighting back with forgiveness, and by fighting back with compassion for those persons who are lost and dying. In every aspect of your life, you must, with full intent and with full purpose, live with eyes for God by seeking Him out and being His witness on earth.
