About looking up to God…

Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (NIV)

There is upon the body and soul of every person a downward pull. There is upon our physical frame the force of gravity. The downward force of gravity keeps us from floating away from the face of the earth. There is also a downward gravitational pull upon our soul. The downward pull upon our soul is the force of satanic darkness that wants desperately to kill us in any way possible. When we are pulled down in our soul and we think there is no hope, we do not see the bigger picture because Satan blinds us. However, upon our lives, and upon our heart, mind, and soul, there is also a gentle upward pull from God. Every minute we are alive there is a calm small voice that calls us to look up. The calm small voice of God continually speaks to us to look up to receive His Light and Love. When we hear His voice and we look up, all of our darkness vanishes. When we hear His voice and we look up, our depression begins to fade away. When we hear His voice and we look up, our hopelessness melts away and we see His hope that becomes our hope.
