looking up to God in honesty… Psalm 6:2 Be merciful to me, Lord, for I
am faint; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony. 3 My soul is in anguish.
How long, O Lord, how long? 4 Turn, O Lord, and deliver me; save me because of
your unfailing love. (NIV) Most people want to be honest. Most people try to be honest. When we relate to God we must remember we cannot hide anything from God. When we look up to God, we must remember to be totally honest with Him because He always knows more about us than we could ever know about ourselves. When we look up to God, we need to lay it all out for Him. King David looked up to God in total honesty in David’s time of anguish. In our relationship with God, in all we say and do with God, we need to tell the Lord everything about everything. When we look up to God in total honesty, we look up to God in faith because we believe the Lord will be merciful to us. When we look up to God in total honesty, we can count on the Lord for help and healing. When we look up to God in total honesty, we can take our anguish before God and receive His help and love. When we look up to God in honesty, we can seek and we will find the Lord turning toward us to deliver us. God is the source of unfailing love in your life. God is your source of comfort in the time of your anguish. When you seek God’s mercy you will find it. When you seek God’s healing you will be healed. When you ask God to save you He will save you. When you ask God for His touch of love God is good and He will be with you in His infinite love and grace. |
