About managing every day…
Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring
forth. (NIV)
We cannot live two moments at once. We can remember yesterday and plan for tomorrow but
we live only one second or one millisecond at a time. When we try to live in the
yesterdays or are so caught up in planning for our tomorrows we can forget about living
and managing the present moment. When life seems out of control, we must establish control
over the present moment. God has given each of us the ability to stop for just a moment,
take stock of where we are, who we are, and where He is in the here and now. In truth, we
can only manage one minute at a time. When we wish to manage our lives, we can do so only
in tiny increments called seconds. We can make immediate choices and decisions about what
we will do, say, and think in the next second. When we determine to manage the moment, and
follow up by managing each moment, we manage our life.
