About meditating upon Christ Psalms 48: 9 Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. 10 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. 11 Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments. (NIV) If is easy for us to forget about God. It is easy for us to not meditate upon His love, His righteousness, and His sure judgements. As you try to walk the narrow road of the faith, you can find strength, courage, and Christ's sure hand that reaches down to help you. The world is overflowing with distractions and it is important to take a few moments from the rush and crush of life to think about Jesus. When you are faced with difficulties that seem too big for you to handle, remember to think about Jesus. When you hold Christ within your heart, all the big adversities are suddenly reduced in size. When you are overcome with worry and doubt, thinking and meditating about Jesus puts worry and doubt away because His power flows through every moment. When you are enslaved by your life, your goals, your issues, your job, your pain, and your joy all this is selfishness. When you are enslaved take just a moment and meditate on Christ. When you think about Him, you become like Him. When you meditate upon Him, you are renewed, restored, and made wise. When you meditate upon Christ, His grandeur, love, compassion, and presence become real within you. |
