Previous Daily Devotional About moving in God's direction… Isaiah 30:1 "Woe to the obstinate children," declares the LORD, "to those who carry out plans that are not mine, (NIV) If you had a choice about walking with the wind at your back or walking into the wind, it would be foolish to walk into the wind. How foolish we are when it comes to God. We are foolish because we do not think God knows about us or knows about our sin. When we have an opportunity to receive the blessings of God by moving with Him in His direction, too often we turn away and live in sin. When we know what it is we should do, we too often do not do it. When we know the difference between right and wrong, we too often do what is wrong. When we know God watches us day and night, we too often pretend God is not watching us. When we know the laws of God will work for us, we too often break His laws. Woe to us! Indeed, each of us needs to look in the mirror every day and ask ourselves if we are walking with God or against Him. We must remember Satan most assuredly wants us to walk against God. We must remember Satan tells us that how we live does not matter to God. We must remember Satan lies to us and tells us how we live is of no consequence to us, and most of all, Satan tells us how we live is of no consequence to God. We must remember Satan tells us God is dead. What we must remember is that Satan lies to us. We must not be deceived. |
