About multiplying your life Galatians 4:13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you. 14 Even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. (NIV) God gives us opportunities each day. No matter who we are or where we are, God gives us the power to do more and be more. What holds us back from multiplying our life is always a matter of our sin. An elderly person confined to a wheel chair, who cannot take care of himself or herself and who cannot get out or go places, has an opportunity given to them by God. One person in this circumstance may sinfully curse every moment and sinfully curse God. Another person in this circumstance may praise God and count each moment as a blessing given to them by God. How we multiply our life is determined not by the results produced in visible terms. How we multiply our life is determined by how much of a child of God we are willing to be. All that God wants you to be can be accomplished if you are willing to do what He wants you to do and be. Tragically, there is an opposing force against you that tries to get you to be only who you want to be and do only what you want to do. As a child of God, it is your responsibility to make minute by minute decisions for God and do only what God wants you to do. When you do only what God wants you to do and you are confined to a wheel chair, you will bless the lives of thousands or millions by your prayers. You will bless the lives of those people who take care of you. You will bless the work of Christ in the world at even your last breath. |
