Previous Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Part Of A Special Continuing Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About not feeling happy, content, or peaceful within yourself... Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV) Unhappiness, discontent, and inner turmoil are visited upon us when we do not walk the Christian walk. Even when we do walk the Christian walk, there can be times in each person's life when the forces of darkness bring on unhappiness, discontent, and inner turmoil. However, all of us can put an end to unhappiness by drawing closer to God each day. All of us can find contentment in the face of discontent by kneeling at the foot of the Cross and confessing all of our sins and mistakes. All of us can find Christ's peace that passes all understanding by turning away from the darkness. In Christ, even when the world tries to make us unhappy, we can find happiness as one of His flock. In Christ, even when our life is torn asunder, we can find His peace and calm. |
