Previous Daily Devotional About how you are not to fear suffering Revelation 2:10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. (NIV) All things come with a cost. Suffering for Christ will produce for you an end result. When you are blinded or blind-sided by suffering, and other kinds of attacks by Satan, then you must both lean upon Christ and bite down hard on the bullet. During your time of persecution or suffering, do not fail, do not whimper, do not complain, do not give in, do not whine, do not slack away from Christs love, and do not protest to others that you have been singled out. As incredibly difficult as it seems to be, push the EFFECTS of the suffering, if not the suffering itself in the direction of the small, quiet voice of God who lives within you. |
