About being on the mountaintop…

Exodus 19:20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up (NIV)

We can all go to the mountaintop…even when we are crippled and lame…even when we are blind. No matter what, no matter when, no matter where, we can go to the top of the mountain and be with God. Our access to God is the most incredible part of our life. Yet, this access, available to every person on earth, has a limitation. The limitation keeping people from climbing the mountain to be with God is not a physical limitation. People are kept away from God by their own heart. People are kept away from God by the sin in their heart. If a person can get rid of the infection of sin in his or her heart, then God is as real to the person as He was to Moses. The wall between you and God is the wall of sin. You can demolish your wall by turning away from your sin and giving your heart to Christ. Christ came to earth to destroy your wall keeping you from God's mountaintop.
