About our choice in Christ…

Romans 7:18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. (NIV)

Our sinful nature haunts all of us. Although many people are not aware of how much their sinful nature destroys their life, most people have enough of a conscience to know they are missing out, they are in the wrong, or they are missing God. In any endeavor, especially in our spiritual life, we must be honest and we must be true. In honesty and truth, we must know and admit our sinful nature is our enemy. No matter how much we desire to overcome our sinful nature, we cannot overcome our sinful nature on our own nor can we change our sinful nature on our own. However, in spite of our sinful nature, we can still be victors. We can be victors because in Christ we are conquerors over our sinful nature. Our spiritual victory in our daily life depends upon how much we live and work in Christ. Every second we have a choice about whether we want to live in Christ or whether we want to live in the world. In living our life, we must not excuse ourselves when we have a clear choice to make between sinfulness or righteousness. We must not let ourselves be fooled about having this choice. We must not kid ourselves about having to choose between Christ's way or Satan's way. Every second we have a choice about how we will live. We can live for Christ and have Him alive within us or we can live without Him. What will you choose today?
