our quiet time as divine… Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign
Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your
salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of
it. (NIV) Loud
is not good. Quiet is divine. We can seldom hear God in the noise of life. We
can seldom hear God in the roar of the big city, in the clanging of machinery,
in the chaos of modern rock music, or in the terror of war and war machines. Our
quiet time can be our divine time. Our quiet time can be just an instant, a mere
second, when we hear the words of God’s love come pouring down into our heart
and soul. In noise, even in our own speaking, there is no way to find or hear
God. In our quiet times with God we can find and rest in the total awe of God.
Our quiet times with God are the best times. For if we were with Him in a
physical way, if we were to stand right in front of Him where we could see Him
with our eyes, hear Him with our ears, and touch Him with our hands, we would
dare not speak. We would dare not speak because we would we be caught up in such
total love and total awe we would remain silent. The reality of your reality is you are in His presence. Even in the noise, but most assuredly in your quiet time of daily worship, you are standing before Him in a most physical way.
