About our unwavering and unchanging Savior…
Psalm 102:25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. 26 They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. 27 But you remain the same, and your years will never end. (NIV)
In our world that seems to be changing every second, in our world where we change from infants to senior citizens and wonder where the time went, in our world where technology and invention often turn things upside down, we have an unwavering and unchanging Savior, Jesus Christ, who never changes. Within all of the ups and downs life brings at us in every stage of our life, we have an unwavering and unchanging person of love, care, and compassion in us that will never change. Jesus is more unchanging than the mountain ranges that dot our earth. For it is Jesus who formed and shaped these mountains in the eons of ages past. When changes shake your world and throw you into all kinds of mental, emotional, and physical disarray, you have a steady rock upon which you can depend. As humans, we do not have some kind of special power to handle the many changes and upheavals in our life. What we do have is an unchanging, steady, strong, unwavering, and constant power at work in us if we let Him have His way rather than seeking to always do things our way.
