About peace and the treasures of heaven…

Turmoil within your heart is a condition against the will of God. God wants you to live in peace within your heart. Turmoil is the way of the world. There is turmoil in the markets, turmoil among nations, and turmoil in the home. Although there is turmoil in the human heart, the upset and turmoil of life is not what God wants for you. Jesus does not want you to live in turmoil.

Your inner turmoil and tumult are the result of what you value. If you value the love of God then you will have peace. If you express your love for Christ to Him, then He will bring you peace and rest. If you focus your eyes only upon the things of earth, your eyes will deceive you into treasuring what is only what is upon the earth. When you treasure only what is of the earth you will suffer from anxiety, worry, pain, and a total lack of peace. When you lay up treasures, let those treasures be the things of heaven and of God. It is the treasures of heaven, the unseen sparkles of love that bring His most wonderful and joyful peace.
