About perfect faith…

Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. (NIV)

Perfect faith comes about through honesty. Yet, there is no such thing as perfect faith. Faith is this wispy substance in our hearts and souls that comes and goes as if blown about by the wind. We can muster up great faith at times but there are other times we are hard pressed to find any faith at all. When our faith is weak we sometimes must resort to going through the motions and hope God understands. Faith that is most perfect is the faith of a person who goes to God in honesty. Faith that is most perfect is a faith rooted in truth. Faith that is most perfect is a faith in God that tells God our faith is imperfect. Faith that is most perfect is a faith that tells God we have lost our contact with Him at the moment and we are seeking to find Him. Faith is most perfect when we resort to blind trust in Him and when we realize our power is nothing compared to His power. A perfect faith is a small faith seed held in the heart. A perfect faith is a faith that knows the faith seed is microscopic when we wanted faith as big as the sky. A perfect faith is a faith held in the heart of a person who recognizes faith's imperfection. It is sweet irony we can achieve a perfect faith by telling God we have fallen short and we do not have much faith. It is sweet irony when we are honest in our heart and we tell God we are deficient in faith that God gives us an abundance of blessings…as if we had perfect faith.
