Previous Daily Devotional About perfect love… 1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. (NIV) We can try to imagine the perfect love of God. We can try to make our minds go to a time and place of perfect love. However, we cannot fully know perfect love as long as we are human beings. We can know Christ in part, but we cannot fully know. What little we know about God and His perfect love is like knowing about only one grain of sand upon the earth. There are uncountable grains of sand upon this orb. We cannot fully know or grasp the number of grains of sand. In addition, we cannot fully know or grasp all the sizes and shapes of all the grains of sand upon our planet. In the same way, we cannot fully know the magnitude of the perfect love God has for us and we cannot fully know all about perfect love. However, we can know something about perfect love because we can look at Christ dying for us, undeserving sinners all, upon the Cross. We can look up and see His eyes looking at us from the cross and we can see in His eyes total forgiveness, total compassion, and total love in spite of what we have done and who we are as sinners. Through Him, we can all know something about His perfect love.
