Previous Daily Devotional About a personality for Christ… Romans 15:5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) You possess a unique personality. Your personality was shaped by influences from your heritage, from your upbringing, and from your surroundings beginning at conception. Your personality is like a cargo vessel full of blessings and curses. In dealing with your personality, your job is to sort through the cargo and discard the curses while preserving the blessings. All of us have aspects of our personality we do not like, even if we know we should like them. All of us have aspects of our personality we need to change. You can destine your personality to be more Christ-like. You can use what you possess in the here and now to glorify God. When you infuse love, wisdom, compassion, and thanksgiving into all of who you are, your personality changes and your whole life becomes a blessing to Christ and to others. Of all the changes to take place within a person who comes to Christ on bended knee with a contrite heart, the change in personality is the most profound and magnificent. What you do with your personality is a decision you can make. Who you devote your personality to is also a decision you can make…for Christ.
