the power of prayer, Part 4 of 5 Daniel
6:10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to
his upstairs room where the windows opened toward The
power of prayer increases our confidence in our abilities. Many times we get to
thinking about how we have fallen short, have been wrong, have been mistaken,
and then we lose our self-confidence. In our prayer times, we can go to God and
in His power we can find confidence our efforts will produce great results for
Him. The
power of prayer can produce pride in the Lord's work. Selfish pride is a sin.
However, our prayer life can show us God's view of our work for Him. Then, in
His view, we find a healthy pride in doing His work on earth. The
power of prayer produces in us a joy in doing God's work, even in utter
hardship. Our work for God, done well, often brings the hardships of
persecution, sacrifice, and pain. The power of prayer infuses us with joy when
we do God's work without regard for the price we pay to do the work. The
power of prayer gives hope when there is no hope. So many times in our life,
because of circumstances we do not control, we lose hope. The power of prayer
gives us a vision to see past our present circumstances. The power of prayer
gives us a vision to see possibilities we know in faith can become realities. |
