About the power to heal from hurts…
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; (NIV)
In our age of modern medicine, when we can do the miraculous
in operating rooms and with medical treatment, we lose sight of the truly miraculous. The
truly miraculous part of our life is the innate healing power within us. The innate and
miraculous healing power within us enables us to heal from our hurts and injuries in our
heart, in our mind, in our body, and in our soul. What is miraculous is that God visited
upon our bodies His innate power to heal from cuts and wounds. What is miraculous is that
God visited upon our hearts and souls His innate power to heal from emotional heartbreak.
We take all this innate healing power for granted. We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully
made. Embedded in our power to heal and recover is the love of God that works in everyone.
If God did not love us then we could never heal. If God did not love us then any injury,
no matter how slight, would spell our doom. However, God does love us. God imbued in us
the ability to heal from our physical and emotional injuries. What may be most amazing of
all is God placed in us the power to grow stronger and be better after our injuries. We
are marvelous creatures. What God wills for each of us is that we see His great gifts of
innate healing and His innate healing power bestowed upon us. God wills for us that we
look up to Him for our last moment of healing. For in our last moment of healing, the
angel shall reach out and grasp our hand, and in that moment, we shall have no more pain,
no more hurt, no more infirmity, and perfect health for eternity.
