Previous Daily Devotional About praying in the noise… Acts 16:13 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. Getting away from the noise in life is sometimes hard to do. We cannot always go away from the city to a quiet place in the country. We cannot always go away from the noisy distractions of life when we have to work and live in the distractions. What is important is that we are willing to spend time each day in prayer whether it is noisy or not. Prayer is vital to our spiritual health. Prayer is even more vital to the people we pray for, even when they do not know we pray for them. Every second we pray, every second we think about Christ, about God, and about the Holy Spirit, is a second that is magnified in supernatural ways. Even in the noise, every second we pray is a second that produces an infinite amount of love around the lives of the people we pray for each day. When we cannot get away from the noise, we must still try to be in an attitude of praying and praising God. In your life, the facts and the reality are that you can pray and be in a prayerful state in every circumstance. In every circumstance, you can be trusting and believing. In every circumstance, you can be taking the burdens of others up to our Lord. When you are in this continual state of sending the hearts and souls of others up to God, others can see results in their lives. Humble prayer means you pray for others without ever telling them you are praying for them. Humble prayer means you are always trusting God. Humble prayer means you trust God to answer your prayers in the lives of those for whom you pray. |
