Previous Daily Devotional About the promise of a great tomorrow… Romans 4:16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. (NIV) In total truth and total honesty, some of us have a rotten life in the here and now. We live with pain, suffering, heartache, loneliness, worry, doubt, insecurity, and more. No matter whom you are or where you are, your life may be anything other than a bed of roses. For those of us who must live a rotten life, the idea of a great tomorrow can sound like something a con man might conjure up. However, our life is not all rotten. Our life is not rotten to core because inside of us at our core, is a being called God who lives within us. With God, there is always a great tomorrow. With God, there is not just a great tomorrow but a great eternity of tomorrows. So when your present life is rotten, remember to live a few minutes with God. Living a few minutes with God gives you a vision to see ahead. When looking ahead with your vision given to you by God you can see an infinite number of great tomorrows. When you begin to see the eternal, most of your present life, including what you might consider the rotten part, begins to fade away in the light of God's glory and grace.
