Previous Daily Devotional About a pure heart Psalm 24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. 5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation. (NIV) There are advantages to living a clean and righteous life. There are even more advantages to living life with a pure heart. When you live a clean and righteous life you stay out of trouble with the law and out of trouble with other people. When you live life with a pure heart, you receive blessings from God. God pours out His blessings upon you when you live simply and are willing to follow Him. To try to follow God with an impure heart is impossible. You may want all the blessings of God, but are you willing to live life with a pure and simple heart? Are you willing to surrender your wants, your needs, and your will to Christ? Saying "Yes" to this question is a lot easier than following through and giving all you have, all you are, and all you want to be. However, as difficult as giving all you are and giving up all you have, there are blessings in this life and eternal blessings in Heaven. The greatest blessing in Heaven or on earth is having the love of God or Holy Spirit living and alive in every part of your being. |
