Previous Daily Devotional About the purpose and reason for suffering… Hebrews
2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in
bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect
through sufferings. (NIV) Acts
14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in
the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom
of
God.
(NIV) Christ was made perfect through His own suffering. In the same way, we are also made perfect in suffering if we have Christ alive within us. The test of our faith in Christ is not conducted under sterile, pristine, and pain-free conditions. The test of our faith in Christ is an endurance test made under severe conditions. How are jet engines tested? Jet engines are tested by being subjected to heat, cold, wind, rain, sand, and extremes in every possible way to see if the engine is strong enough and tough enough to take extreme environmental conditions without failing. In our life, we don’t like being tested, but hardship is the way to Heaven. In the very depths of your heart and soul, you know with absolute certainty in just a little while you will see eternal glory as you see Jesus in Heaven. You know in the depths of your soul in just a little while you will see Jesus and there will be no more pain. You know in the depths of your soul in just a little while there will be no more suffering. You know in the depths of your soul in just a little while there will be only peace, wonderful peace. You know in your soul you will be strong. You know you will not be weak and heavy-laden. You will run and not grow weary. You will work and not grow tired. Stay tough in your heart, soul, and spirit during this little test and in a little while you will see Jesus. For in Jesus we find the power. In Jesus we find the power to live and push on while we suffer to achieve His victory.
