Previous Daily Devotional About pushing back against insurmountable obstacles… Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (NIV) You are not helpless against insurmountable obstacles. Of course it is easier to say you are not helpless than it is to be full of the power that obliterates the obstacles of life. However, there are factors we must consider. Things are not always what they seem to be. Things do not always appear as things really are. What we think we see is only a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of what is really before us. The very substance of things is not always what things appear to be. We know scientifically, logically, and in our faith the things and circumstances of our reality are not always what they seem to be. Because we possess this wisdom, we also know we can turn insurmountable obstacles into nothing. It is through our faith we can totally vaporize what seems to be insurmountable. It is through our faith our insurmountable obstacles are turned into a pavement for the road to our future. If we could fully see what is really before us, we would see our insurmountable obstacles are but a wisp and a vapor to be whisked away in the mighty breath of God. |
