Previous Daily Devotional This Devotional Is Part Of A Special Continuing Series Related To Dependency And Co-dependency Issues. Rules Of Godly Common Sense Apply. About pushing thoughts and feelings out of one's awareness because of fear and guilt… 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. (NIV) Not facing your fear and guilt in a true and honest fashion can result in a disaster in your emotional, spiritual, and physical life. Not facing your fear and guilt can turn you into a controlled human being with the fear and guilt doing the controlling. Pushing any issue out of your awareness is like telling yourself a lie. However, God can help you deal with fear and guilt. God does not want you living in fear and guilt. When you live in the love of God, He will surely take away your fear. When you turn away from your sin and turn to God, He washes away your guilt and you find peace. Of all the earthly personal advantages any of us who are Christians can have, living in the peace of God because we have turned our life over to Christ is our most profound personal advantage.
