1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (NIV)

When you see the world, in all its many manifestations, you can choose to only see the tangible and forget about God who is intangible. When you see the world, you can choose to love the world and the things of the world, or you can choose to love our unseen God. We always have a choice between loving the world we see and loving the God we cannot see. If we only love our tangible world we leave God out of what we see. When we only love our tangible world we leave God out of our lives and there is within us a terrible darkness. God is light. God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world. Jesus was the Light of the world and when we have Christ within us, His love lights up our life. There may be a few of the things of earth that give us a momentary light, but in Christ, we have someone who gives us an eternal light. When we have only our own ideas, our own thoughts, our own feelings, and our own physical senses to live by, we have little and the little we have fades quickly away. When we have the love of God through Christ within us we have the universe.
